Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss was born July 23rd, 1971 in Decatur, Illinois. LeAnne Kymes was also one of two the youngest Grammy Award recipients. Alison Maria Krauss (born July 23 1971) is an American bluegrass and country musician as well as singer. She began her career in the industry as a young girl, competing in local contests before the age of 10 before recording her first album when she was 14 years old. The year 1985 saw her joined Rounder Records and in 1987 she released her first solo album. She was asked to join the group with whom she performs Alison Krauss and Union Station as well as releasing her debut album as a group in the year 1989.
