Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah has worked as an actor as well as a musician, playback singer and actress in Tamil films and Malayalam film. Annayum Rasoolum was her Malayalam and Tamil debuts in acting. Andrea Jeremiah is born to an Anglo-Indian family in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu.Andrea's dad is an attorney working at the Madras High Court. She is the younger cousin of an assistant researcher in Leuven, Belgium. Jeremiah was born in Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea began playing piano during her eighth year. Young Stars, a Jackson Five-style group she joined at age 10 was the foundation for singing and composing music. At her university she also was an actor and appeared in stage productions that were put on through The Madras Players. Andrea was also one of the Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea's theatre career began with the play of Girishkarnad Nagamandala. In 2006, her role in the brand new Leo Coffee advert included Shiva. She also acted in a serial which relayed in Podhigai channel. The actress has also appeared in India. There was a brief appearance in the Kanda Mudhal finale (2005). Gautham A. Menon was invited after she performed a number in the film Vettaiyaadu, to perform as a leading female in Pachaikili Muthucharam. This film was a film adaptation of the novel by James Siegel Derailed, with Andrea playing Kalyani an aspiring homemaker, who's husband is involved in an affair and is targeted by a blackmailer. Andrea was picked to play the role after Simran and Tabu both actresses were approached by the producers. It was released early in 2010. The film was released in August 2011. Venkat Prabhu made his debut with the multi-starrer Mankatha. It was her turn to play a minor supporting role. In 2013, she made her debut in Malayalam film with Rajeev Ravi's romance film Annayum Rasoolum.
