Julie Ellen "Tawny," Kitaen was an American model and actress. She was born between May 7th, 2021 until August 5, 1961. She started her career as a television actress, appearing in the television films Malibu (1983) and California Girls (1985). She was also a part of the comedy The Perils of Gwendoline and Bachelor Party (both 1984), as well as the film of horror Witchboard (1986). Kitaen was widely recognized for her work in numerous heavy metal music videos including Ratt's (1984) "Back for More", Whitesnake ?Ts ("Still of the Night") and Whitesnake ?Ts ("Is This Love") (all 1987). In the early 2000s, Kitaen began appearing in reality television shows, including Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew (2008) which explored Kitaen's struggles with addiction. Julie Kitaen was the youngest of three children, born in San Diego in 1961 to Linda Kitaen (nee Taylor) as an actress and former beauty pageant participant and Terry Kitaen who worked for a neon sign business. Kitaen's mother is of Scottish and Irish heritage, and her father was of Russian Jewish background. Kitaen was educated Jewish. She first began to use the name "Tawny" at the age of 12 on her own initiative.
